Join a Crew That Gets Its Hands Dirty

Every job at Eastern Horticultural Services is done in-house, start to finish. No subcontractors, no outside crews. If you want to build real skill on real estates, this is where you do it.

We have been planting, building and restoring properties across Kennett Square and the Brandywine Valley since 2005, and every one of those years has been the same crew doing the actual work. That is not an accident. It is how EHS trains people, how it keeps its standards up, and honestly, how the work stays fun. When a foreman levels up, when a gardener learns to read a bed the way an experienced hand does, that is knowledge that stays in the family instead of walking out the door with a sub.

If you know your way around a planting bed, a stone wall, or a client who wants both done right, keep reading.

Position

Foreman, Masonry Experience

We are looking for a foreman with real crew leadership experience and hands-on masonry background. This role runs planting and hardscape work side by side and leads a crew that is growing fast this season with new trucks and equipment already in place.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven ability to lead a crew and keep a job site on schedule
  • Hands-on masonry experience, ideally alongside horticultural work
  • Someone who takes full accountability for the crew’s work and the client’s property, every day on site
Position

Estate Horticulturalist

This is a career-track role built around mentorship. You will work directly alongside EHS’s head horticulturist, learning the seasonal flower program from the ground up while spending the bulk of your week on site: dividing perennials, correcting beds, diagnosing plant health, and building out the kind of full, layered planting that turns a good garden into a great one. The rest of the time goes to planning: sourcing spring bulbs and tulips, summer annuals, fall mums and grasses, and winter greens, months ahead of each season.

What we’re looking for:

  • A horticulture or gardening background, degree or equivalent field experience
  • Someone ready to learn from an experienced mentor and grow into the role over time
  • An eye for upgrading a planting bed, not just maintaining it

How to Apply

Send your resume and a phone number to hello@easternhs.com. Include a good cell number and we will set up time to talk. That’s it.
